The Whistle Stop represents a lot of the history of Islamorada and the Florida Keys. "Tiki" John Ebert, a local legend, was the bartender that invented the famous RUM RUNNER. He was the Whistle Stop's bar manager for many years. Ask about the large painting on the bar wall... "Sleepy Jack" another local legend. In December 2003, the Key Largo/Islamorada Times wrote an article proclaiming the Whistle Stop as making the "best burger in the Keys."
